I'm using my VM Superhub in "modem mode" (switches off all router activity) and feed signal to a router in the listening room.
Could be that...dunno.
Doesn't seem to affect anything, so not too fussed.

I haven't touched my Superhub, as I know nowt about them, so didn't want to mess anything up. How do you activate "modern mode"?
However, I don't think I'd want it on, in our circumstances, as we only have one router (a VM Superhub, like yours, in our hall), which supplies both of our V6 Tivo boxes (one in the lounge and one in the bedroom), and the hard-drives for my streaming setup. The latter are inches away from each other, on the same shelf as the router.
Why would you need a separate router in your listening room?

G-Fast is an enhanced FTTC technology which Openreach are rolling out gradually. It supposedly gives speeds of 100 to 330 mb/s down a standard Cooper line, but is very dependant on loop length and really only works over a couple of hundred metres so not everyone can get it, and those who can are going to be the ones who get the best service on standard fibre anyway. Most service providers offer it now under different names. EE call it Fibre Max Plus, and I have seen a couple of customers getting a genuine 300mb/s, but there aren’t many of them yet.

Very easy to do; as well as renaming your wifi channels etc
My Mac is hardwired into the Superhub 3 and then everything is via the 5hz wifi etc
