    That's clever.

B&O always made stylish looking kit - often disparagingly referred to as "Habitat Hi Fi" by those who had never heard their gear. But B&O made gear that not only looked good, it sounded good as well.
Thats it Barry, thats how it works.. Aye they made some great stuuf. I always like the '5700' speaker even though it used Celestion 'HF2000' & 'MF500'.. '5702' were also good.

I have never really understood how a head shell with threaded holes is good, does it not restrict getting the stylus in the exact position, or is the head shell designed for specific cartridges and arm use only? Or I suppose moving the arm to get position correct.
Listening is the act of aural discrimination and dissemination of sound, and accepting you get it wrong sometimes.

Analog Inputs: Pro-Ject Signature 10 TT & arm, Benz Micro LP-S, Michel Cusis MC, Goldring 2500 and Ortofon Rondo Blue cartridges, Hitachi FT5500 mk2 Tuner

Amplification:- AudioValve Sunilda phono stage, Krell KSP-7B pre-amp, Krell KSA-80 power amp

Why I'm going digital tbh. I get music at touch of a mouse or phone screen.
Not so tactile of course but needs must and it sounds very good. Especially with my new speakers
Youll be ok with that B&O then you just slip the cartridge on & thats that, no wires, no lining up with protractors etc.. Theses statically balanced arms track like mad, Te arms are designed for perfect wall to wall tarcking.. I once saw a video of someone playing an LP with a B&O TT sat on its side..

No - no 1202s or 1203s at the moment, Just a Beogram 2000 (the 1980s type), a Beogram 3000 (Acoustical motor unit), Beogram 4002, Beogram 5000 and a Beogram 8002.

As an aside, the above Beogram 2000 is my favourite. Looks great, takes the later MMCx series cartridges and doesn't need any adjustment for standard speed or size - just hit Play and off it goes!

Well they maybe cool but i personally do not like the skinny arm & ugly platter, the earlier 1201 looked much more nice.. But at the end of the day is looks or SQ thats important? Afterall this topic is about looks..

I love the B&O MMC range of cartridges. Some of the best fixed-coil cartridge designs around.

    (Slight thread drift! )

I know you have a 'TD124' with SME in a none descript vintage plinth but i truly thought the B&O '3000' with the 'TD124'/B&O 'ST/L' Arm & plinth was really nice & ofc the bigger 12" version can be fitted with a quick armboard change..Those Beogram '3000' plinth designs looked brilliant ..
