    I'm Ken.

Default FS: Nakamichi 7 Channel Power AMP

For sale is my Nakamichi AVP1 7 Channel Power Amp.

This is rated at 110w into 8ohm all channels driven.

It accepts Single Ended (RCA) or Balanced (XLR) inputs.

Anyone that has heard one of these at the NEBO meetings etc, will confirm this is not your usual AV Amp, with sound quality equal to some serious 2-Channel amps. I used it to run an active 3 way speaker set up, but it would be equally at home running a high quality AV system.

It is unmarked and fully working, it comes in the original double boxed packaging and includes the mains lead and instruction book.

Current new price (re-branded as IOTA now) is £1,059.99 so it's a very keen asking price.

Collection is preferred (TS28 5DN) as it weighs 32kg (nearly 35kg boxed), but I will send it by courier if required, with the associated cost indicated.

Bank transfer is preferred, as Paypal fees are high.

Drop me a PM if interested.

Someone buy this quickly as this is an excellent amplifier at a give away price and I'm struggling to resist it even though I don't have any immediate use for it.
    Current Lash Up:

    TEAC VRDS 701T > Sony TAE1000ESD > Krell KSA50S > JM Labs Focal Electra 926.

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”

Yes several people on here have them, "Halfwaytree" used two of them to run his active Linkwitz LX521 set up (10 channels) and that was one of the best speaker systems I have heard.

I've got one too and it's a beast. I feel like I'm not taking advantage of all its power though as only using it for centre and surround channels in my AV setup. Be warned, it is damn heavy (front heavy).
