That's why I almost never use public transport in this country! It's simply dire. Long live the freedom provided by the humble (or not so humble) automobile

It's like a Bra bus, but bigger and with extra numpties inside. Don't worry Wales will get them eventually, just as soon as we can get some drivers who can understand the road signs. And alter the fronts to accommodate the giant town names.

I've been there and it is only the station name that is spelt out in full. Everywhere else it is referred to as Llanfair PG (as do the locals).

But even the name is not original - the 'long' version was dreamt up as a promotional stunt by the Victorians. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Llanfairpwllgwyngyll

Yes I've been there too, and you're right. However, there are plenty of other far-from-short Welsh town names, such as Rhosllanerchrugog, near me, to name but one! Try pronouncing that, and also the likes of Froncysyllte

True. In fact when you look deeper in to things it turns out that pretty much everything was dreamt up as a promotional stunt by the Victorians.
