Sean, the installer in question, is top-notch. He's 'into' what he does in a big way, the same as my mechanic/technician mate, who tunes the car's engine. And so has the right kit and experience to wring every ounce of SQ out from the car system, especially the sub, which IMO is one of the hardest things to get right, unless you're simply after some bad-ass bass boom (count me out).
In terms of the sub, I want sphincter-tight low-end tunefulness, seamless integration with the rest of the system's sound output, and palpable weight, depth and scale with all the types of music I play! Hey, you know what I'm like

The new head unit will be going below the existing pop-up display (shown above, middle), which will be made to 'mirror' the same display as that of the new Kenwood touch-screen one. Quite cool.
The sat-nav system, built into the new head unit is also so much better and more up to date!
