    I'm gone.

    Default Alan Brownstone RIP

It was with great sadness that I heard of the death earlier today of my friend Alan Brownstone; widely known as AlanB on hifi forums.

A hifi and music fanatic, and tube roller extraordinaire.
He was a true gentleman, and also a gentle man.

He will be much missed by the many friends and acquaintances that he has made over the years.

    RIP Alan.

    He posted only yesterday?

    Must have been sudden.

Anyway, RIP AlanB. May otherworldly hi-fi systems be amazing!

ou might slip, you might slide, you might
Stumble and fall by the road side
But don't you ever let nobody drag your spirit down
Remember you're walking up to heaven

Don't let nobody turn you around
… Walk with the rich, walk with the poor
Learn from everyone, that's what life is for
And don't you let nobody drag your spirit down

Indeed. He had every possible (or at least every sensible) recording of Richard Strauss's Four Last Songs ... was very eloquent on the topic.
