I can see why folks don't like it. I'm not 100% lovin' it either and the big blue meters can be offputting, but it also has something looks wise too

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”

Personally, I love the styling and especially the meters! I’ve not heard that much stuff by them but everything I have heard has impressed.

    Still want that clock...

6"? That's nothing! I have an 8 metre tape measure with Stanley on it. It was sold to me by a nice man at Screwfix whose name, funnily enough, wasn't Stanley.

I also have a hat with 'Sony' on the front. I never wear it though, as I don't have a hat face.

That's funny I have a knife with Stanley on it and I got that in Maplins. I didn't know the name of the bloke who sold it to me but one of the girls who worked there told me 'He's a dick.'

I once bought a dick, actually a 'Rampant Rabbit' (a gift for someone else!) from a nice lady in Ann Summers. Didn't catch her name but it probably wasn't Stanley.

We seem to have moved away from McIntosh a bit.

I'll have to look for it, so it must be small!

I think I have a large King Dick adjustable, probably 12" or more, I also have a small one which was part of the tool-kit supplied with Rover 3.5 Coupe.

Also have a set of open ended King Dick spanners.

The small King Dick adjustable is very much like this:
