High level to low level connection.
I realise this could have gone on A/V forum but as it could apply to any type of amp I have put it here.
I have a Marantz A/V amp that only has speaker connections for centre speaker, I would like to use these to connect a power amp to the centre speaker. The power amp has adjustable gain. The centre speaker fed by the A/V amp does not have the same dynamics as the front speakers.
The front and centre speakers are from the same manufacturer hopefully to keep the same "voice".
I realise that different amps may effect the voice.
I already use an integrated powering the front speakers.
I can buy high level to low level converters, are these appropriate and wise?
What issues can anyone foresee?
Thanks
Gary
