I saw this on the BBC and thought you should see it. Electric scooters are coming... well at least in France. Uber stylee.

It's about money of course. A scooter maybe costs a twentieth of the price of a car. Bet it won't be a twentieth of the comparative cost per mile and there's no driver to employ or pay.

For Uber yes. For the politicians they just want to solve the congestion issues I suspect. Or I am giving them too much credit?

I ordered a Xiaomi M365 yesterday from AliExpress. The EU version. Oddly it cost £365. Made me smile.

In all honesty nothing is apart from one machine as I highlighted earlier. People are on them in London, and the general vibe is the Police do nothing apart from show interest, if anything.

Hmm. Running into a pedestrian and injuring them, on an uninsured and illegal vehicle could have 'interesting' consequences.

The enforcing law was written in 1835. It's on about horse and carts etc on the pavement.

Agreed. Have to be careful. Very careful.

Where I will ride it will be pretty god damn safe.
