Well screw cyclists, parking, slow town throughput, big car arseholes, wankers on motorbikes etc etc.

Get hip, get punk, and show those idiots what twats they are.

Ladies and gents, let me introduce you to the OneWheel, an absurd, insane, probably not too safe, super cool device.

This video is just wonderful, I think. Beautiful, even. Makes me want to go to Chicago.

Watch as much of this "Hooligan" as you can - it is great!

You have fond memories of skate-boarding though. I just remember falling hard onto concrete a few times and thinking 'Screw this.'

Yup that's true I do have fond memories.

Looking at the WowGo Mini KT electric skateboard. Pretty sure I will buy one. I just still feel so secure on a skateboard even at 55 LOL. Like I never got off when messing around this weekend.

Mind you, I was good in my day. That's why.

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

"You don't have free will. You have the appearance of free will.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”

That looks like fun! If you lived in Chicago that is.

I would like one of these, but I have to weigh up the pro's and cons:

For: Fast, fun, cheap transport. Also I have a pair of vans, so I'm part way there.

Against: No skateboard experience, and at 60 and self-employed I can't afford broken bones. Also not keen on thrash metal.

I suppose it would be satisfying to come across a herd of lycra louts on their Sunday run, whizz past to the front of them and slow down to 3mph slower than them while hogging most of the lane.
