Got the last bits done that I can while I await a delivery from China.*

So far, everything has gone very smoothly. Board layout it very good and the quality of the PCB is far better than I'd hoped for.*

The Jfets are now in place, thankfully. A magnification lens on my helping hands really came in useful.*

I added some solder to the board first, on one of the pads. I then managed to solder the Jfet in place and then solder the other two legs. I then re-did the first. I suppose there may be a better way but it worked.

I've now just got to save up for a new case and wait for the bits from China and it's gonna be done!*

    Cool.*

Now just waiting on the transformer, casework, RCA sockets, IEC socket, transformer shield and wire.

    I hate waiting!!!!

Thanks mate. Yep, the postman does seem to take his sweet time making his way from China. But shouldn't moan, the value for money there is undeniable.

I've got Alan's Vivant on loan whilst I am without phonostage.

You can have a listen on Sunday.

It's been a long time happening mate but you started my brain going when you asked if a wizard could be built. Then when Steve expressed an interest in building one, I knew that's the direction to go in.

I'll bring it over when the new one is built so you can have a listen.
