Default The Lincolnshire North Sea Coast 2018

I took these photo's whilst visiting a place called Theddlethorpe here in Lincolnshire. We had been visiting the site of an old RAF base at Strubby for photography and decided to call in here due to the sky and what looked like an imminent storm.

This particular place is known as Brickyard Lane and is on the edge of a huge salt marsh that spreads along the coast for miles. As I grew up here I obviously love it to bits and love spending quiet moments just looking at scenes like this.

Very fond memories of staying in a ramshackle wooden house there in the middle of the dunes when I was young, it was owned by the Lincolnshire Wildlife trust (based in Alford manor house at the time). I imagine it's rotted away by now as it wasn't in the best state of repair at the time, but I hope not.

It is easier to seek forgiveness than to ask permission

Lawrence, living in an old wooden hut in the dunes would be some people's idea of paradise. I could easily see myself there all summer long with a few bottles of Jack Daniels.
