    Hello Andy,

I've only ever heard/owned a modern Marantz, it was the pm6004 and it was a nice sounding amp at the budget end, very musical with warm mids.

What does your pm4 sound like?

    Nice amp!

Hi Rob, I always struggle with this question, I’m told that it is very valve like , for me it just does everything right and puts a smile on my face every time.
    Very special imo.

    Hello Andrew,

In most pictures of Marantz PM4 the 4 buttons in the middle are in black plastic.
Did you change yours with aluminium ones or your amp came originally like this?
Much better with aluminium knobs though.
