Once got offered as many ex Beeb 301's as I wanted for 70 quid each and a shedload (literally by an ex employee) of STD's for 200 quid, hindsight is a wonderful thing (which pillock coined that one, I wonder)
75's can still be had for <£100 which is a bargain. You try professionally making the motor, bearing and pressing a top plate for under a ton. You'd be politely shown the door.
