Lol... This was one of our favourite haunts, back in the day, in the picturesque little town of Aberfoyle, just outside of Glasgow, The Covenanters Inn (sadly long gone):

They use to have a lovely big roaring log fire in the bar area, which was fantastic in the wintertime, and the dining room, which you can see from the pictures, was really quaint and cosy, with oak beams, etc.

stayed there once right on lake. very nice chalets and the setting was perfect. just a pity my already disabled wife fell in first hr of being there. spoilt it
