I've lived with a Townshend Elite Rock II + Heed Orbit PSU for the past few years. After the ins and outs of a Xerxes, 401 and PL-71 I think she's the best all-rounder in terms of sound, maintenance and value.

I guess so - I use Solidworks which is one of the industries big packages.

I should be doing it now really but it’s too warm.

I am. Laser cutting routing templates, then routing to size and hand finishing. The chassis and platter were made some time ago - I’ve been planning it for years.

This has been my vinyl playing chum since I rescued it from a junk shop and brought in back to life back in the early '80s
As I fell in love with the Dieter Rams design long before I found it, I have never felt the need to replace - just repair and apply TLC when needed

    Braun PS500

Only a shame that I doesn't get a lot of use anymore

Those TTs of which I have direct experience, that is, use in my system:

    EMT 930st
    Thorens TD124 Mk.II

Those TTs which I have borrowed and tried in my system:

Linn LP12 (Basic model without upgrades)
    Goldring G99

Pickup arms used by me in my system:

    Breuer Dynamic Type 5A
    Brinkmann 10.5
    Ortofon 309i (improved by Ikeda)
    EMT 929

    SME M12-R
    SME 3012 Mk.II
    SME 3009 Mk.II
    SME 3009/S2 (Improved)

    Infinity 'Black Widow' Mk.II
Audio & Design (later known as Keith Monks) M9BA
Decca ffss Super (only used with Decca Mk.III and Mk.IV heads).

But regarding your question as to which decks would interest me today, well I would be interested in the following:

EMT 938 (modified to take an SME V)
Denon DP100 (with the integral arm removed and arm mount adapted to take a 9" arm)
    Technics SP10

    and possibly

    EMT 928.

Any Avid love in these parts, or is it not a brand that is highly rated.
I’ve never heard one, but I do like their appearance of rock solid build quality.
    Any thoughts?

My end game deck is my Sony TTS-8000 in a custom plinth with an SME V-12.
