Talking What turntable floats ones boat?

I know similar threads have been done on a few occasions so could be told off but thought I would run another as its a subject that always fascinates me as we all like different things, I run three turntable at present so dont believe there is a single solution but if one were to choose one what would it be.

Cost is is not to be a factor as I know many freinds who just dont like some of the hi end offerings as they feel they are too complex and OTT. Its more to do with what designs appeal and what would one be more than happy with as a final statement. Personal experiences on what one has heard is always a good thing.

    I have my modified Vantage Audio 1210/SME 309 /AT33EV.
But if I could I would have my Voyd. 5 reference back but continue to run the Technics as well, two very different sounding decks and I like both.

I have done that many times missed something I sold and on occasion bought the same back, I wish I still had my Goldmund Reference I had from new in the 80,s always nice to have variety. I owned Voyd Reference with Cylene and I0 LTD too great deck indeed wish I had that today The Voyd Reference with noisy motors and once a psu issue gave me a bit of trouble had to have it changed three times, still loved it. I also owned a oxford crystal Reference never liked it at all maybe as I had a sme V on it did sound good with the Air Tangent but was beyond my budget at the time and the air pump scared me off back then. There the so many interesting deck back then which one could aspire to own these days one has to take out a second mortgage and still not sure if one would really get real pleasure from the purchase.

I have immaculate samples of the Goldring G99, Garrard 301, Thorens TD 124 and various Transcriptor/Michell Reference. I debate with myself, which I will keep as my 'last turntable'.

Thank you Nari. I have heard the V12 and its better, but not enough for me to pay the difference between the two.

More to do with nostalgia than for it's out right sonic ability but the Thorens TD160B mkII with an SME 3009 tonearm, it was the 1st proper turntable and arm i owned.
