Lol - I had a feeling you were kidding, but as I know you're a shirt and tie kinda guy, it was possible. I prefer 'smart but casual' [and most of all comfy]. Unlike you, I don't feel good wearing a tie, quite the opposite, and distinctly uncomfortable.
Plus, the problem with wearing a tie is that it dictates the rest of your outfit, by forcing you to wear a 'dress shirt' with long sleeves (unless you want to look like a tool, because unless you're wearing a jacket, ties with short-sleeved shirts just looks wrong), and long sleeves in this heat is a nightmare [as it is, I sweat enough in a bloody t-shirt], then the dress shirt forces you to wear 'dress trousers', which I'm not a big fan of either, and worst of all then forces you to wear restrictive, tight fitting 'dress shoes', which again in this heat aren't the most comfortable of things.
I'd probably rather wear sandals (and that's saying something)!
So no, you can keep yer ties!!:
However, I do agree that brainless, superficial cretins often mistakenly believe that suit/tie wearers are 'wealthier' or somehow 'more important', thus judge people accordingly. This is somewhat ironic when you can pick up a cheap suit for buttons, and pay fortunes for branded designer t-shirts, jeans and trainers, so it's often the 'suits' who are the paupers
