    Default Celestion SL12Si Speakers

The last and best version of the SL12 line. Beautifully constructed speakers with mid range to die for and some of the nicest metal dome tweeters that you'll hear.

The SL12Si is the big brother of the famous SL6 series. The cabinet has an additional sealed enclosure with an extra bass driver. So it's basically like an SL6Si with better bass.
They are still an infinite baffle (sealed) enclosure which means tunefull bass and easy positioning. They do like a bit of power to get the best out of them but are not as insensitive as the early copper dome SL6 were.
The Si version has a series of improvements introduced as the line evolved including better cabinet bracing, crossover changes and the better mid bass driver that was introduced with the S.

They are in good working order. No damage to drivers and no hairline cracks in the surrounds (although I think this was really a problem with the original spec bass drivers before the S).
Cosmetically, the only issue is that the veneer has faded over time meaning that they are now more of an oak colour as pictured instead of the original teak. Other than that, the look very nice and the finish of the veneer is still nice and shiny.

I used and liked these for some time but they are now just sat in the cupboard which seems a waste.

I would like £350 for what is a very high quality pair of speakers.

Collection only please from just outside Bicester (M40, J9).

    Hi Tim,
Yes they are. Can you use the PM system yet? It needs a few posts.

This is supposed to be a for sale thread. Please could someone clean it up?

You'll be relieved to hear though that the speakers didn't live there too long and survived their ordeal unscathed.
They are now safely wrapped up in a cupboard (which is also decorated in a substandard fashion).
