I seem to remember him scoring a few goals, back in the day against Rangers, when it wasn't a shock for Morton to cuff them!

Yes born and live in Greenock, although I’m really a Gourock boy( it’s a local thing), yes Andy Ritchie was a great player and on his day as good as anyone in the country and should have played at a higher level.
Morton have struggled over the years and are in desperate need of a new owner with a few quid, should be interesting to see how they go with yet another new manager.

    Robin

Would it be better to lie and say they sound great? (Personally I would do just that, but then I'm naturally polite).

Yup, so do we north of the border, as you'll have noticed with the (good-natured) banter I enjoy with our two resident Rangers fans!

However, taking the piss is only best appreciated when you *know* that the recipient 100% isn't going to take it the wrong way... It comes down to the old thing about being laughed WITH, or laughed AT One is ok, the other isn't.

Anyway, I'll bear this little 'incident' in mind for future!

Ah, so you're a posh boy? Yeah, would love to see Morton back in the SPL. The Renfrewshire derby was always a good one!

Yes, I also know Gourock well. Some lovely properties there, overlooking the sea! Love it up at Kempock Point/Cardwell Bay... Is the Bluebird cafe still there in Cardwell Rd? They used to sell the best coffee and traditional Italian ice-cream I've tasted outside of Italy!

Since you're from Inverclyde then, you may know of the place in Langbank where Del and I had our wedding reception: Gleddoch House: https://gleddoch.com/
