I think he'll be off, unless given a good reason to stay, as realistically he's taken Kilmarnock as far as he can, and performed nothing short of a miracle. Maybe the Aberdeen job, if McInnes decides he's had enough and wants a change, especially if Aberdeen lose to Celtic again in the cup?

He would probably also argue that he's taken Aberdeen as far as he can. I always thought he should've got the Rangers job instead of Gerrard, especially as he's a big Gers fan.

As I said, I was just pleased to make it to halftime only a goal down, I agree our keeper kept us in the game and probably only him and Tav would start for Celtic. One thing I would mention is that Celtic were playing much better football earlier in the season when Brown was not playing. We need to bring in some quality for the long term not just loan signings, you can’t build for future using loan players.

Some good points, and yes Tavernier might get a game, as Lustig's powers seem to be on the wane, although I wouldn't necessary take Tav ahead of Toljan. I know he's only on loan, but I rate him highly, and if he's available for sale, don't be surprised if Celtic buy him from Dortmund at the end of his loan period.

The other Rangers player (for now anyway), based purely on his ability, who would have a chance of getting into Celtic's starting 11, is of course Morelos. However, for me, Edouard is developing into a better player than him, and has greater potential.

Edouard has all the right attributes to be a top, top striker in any league: pace, physical presence, positional awareness, coupled with the right temperament - and if he continues getting better and shines in the Champions League games for Celtic next season, then when he eventually does go, he'll be worth as much as Dembele was, possibly more.

And on the subject of a player's worth, I'll stick my neck out and say that given Morelos' latest antics, Rangers will get nowhere near the £15-20m that was quoted. More like £8-10m, but we'll see what happens.

As for your point on Brown, I agree, and one of the players we're currently really missing is Ryan Christie. Until he was injured, he was scoring vital goals for us and bringing more speed and urgency to the team, through his dynamic midfield play, which Brown simply isn't capable of.

However, Brown brings other things to the team, namely his experience, excellent reading of the game and defensive abilities, and most of all his leadership qualities, including his ability to get the most out of his team mates. He's the consummate captain, and a player that any team in the country would love to have in their side, even some in the EPL. Therefore, when both Christie and Brown are fit, I think Lennon will use them in different types of games, or come up with a formation where both of them can be accommodated.

I agree with you about loan players, but that could apply to Celtic, who also have their fair share, although in terms of building for the future, in recent times Celtic have had much more young players come successfully through their academy and become first-team players, than Rangers have from theirs, although the recent good crop Rangers have produced may be about to change that.

I will say next season may show some of the rangers players in a different light. They will either get better or just fade out of pic. I think sg needs to learn a bit more than let's go too.
