How are you guys at simply accepting rather 'fortuitous coincidences'?

I'll get to my point.... Was there ever an official explanation for Lennon's departure at Hibs? Fallouts with staff have been rumoured, but as far as I can see nothing confirmed in black and white. So why is that, I wonder?

I think whatever happened, happened in purpose, and was deliberately planned. Here's my theory:

It's no secret that Lennon and Rodgers know each other well, so you can guarantee that they'll have been chatting together prior to, and since, Lennon leaving Hibs.

Well, I think that Rodgers had been aware of Leicester's interest for some time, *before* Lennon's Hibs departure, and he wanted to go to Leicester, as he felt he'd taken Celtic as far as he could, with the financial restrictions imposed on him there, and get back into the EPL. Now I believe he mentioned that to Lennon, weeks ago, with a view to him taking over.

We all know that Lennon's a diehard mad Celtic fan, so he'd have been desperate for that to work. But he was then manager of Hibs! So what to do?

Well... Why not 'engineer himself' a suitable exit, which would provide the get-out clause he needed, and so would rather conveniently make him available to accept the position when Rodgers left Celtic and the manager's job became available - knowing full well that Celtic would come calling, as he'd be the ideal replacement!

I'm convinced there's something in that, as I don't believe in such 'happy coincidences'... Indeed, I posted to that effect on the comments section on Celtic TV, and it was taken down. However, I'll be going on Clyde 1 Superscoreboard tonight, making that very point on their phone in.

nothing is impossible but i dont think in this case there was any subterfuge. simple reason there was no official reson for his departure was neither he or dempster wanted the truth in the public domain. it would have embarrassed her and may have finished his career.
again thats only what i heard so not fact

I still find the statement "Hibs were keen to stress he was not dismissed and has not resigned" as ambiguous at best. if neither happened how come he aint still there

Rodgers and Lennon know each other well, and both have allegiances to Celtic.....Rodgers is rumoured to be unhappy with Lawwell not sufficiently 'funding his ambitions' in the transfer market, and seeking a move to the EPL, where he can realise those ambitions......Lennon leaves Hibs in 'mysterious' circumstances, with no official explanation from the club.........Not long afterwards Rodgers leaves Celtic for Leicester......Lennon is then appointed as interim Celtic manager.

Call me sceptical, or even cynical, but I simply don't buy that collection of events as simply amounting to 'fortuitous circumstances'

In terms of 'tapping up' managers (and players)? Defo.

In that respect, I'd bet my boots that Rodgers has known about Leicester's interest for much longer than stated, same with Lennon, (possibly Celtic, too), and that Lennon replacing Rodgers as manager has been in the pipeline, maybe since that shenanigans during the summer transfer window, with the missed out signing of McGinn, etc, and new players arriving that he appeared to have had little or no say over, such as that winger Maryan Shved [all of which for me was the catalyst for BR's departure].

For me, the pieces of the jigsaw all fit together.

Rangers continue their winning ways, with another great win at Ibrox, 4-0 against Dundee, with both Defoe and Morelos scoring. Well done, lads.

However, that late winner at Tynecastle for us, to win 1-2, was as immensely satisfying, dramatic, and important as the late one against Kilmarnock!!

It was veritably squeaky-bum time after Hearts scored their penalty and levelled the game at 1-1, until that dramatic late winner. I nearly took the roof off our house cheering when Edouard scored the goal!!

So for now, the 8-point gap at the top remains, and Lenny gets off to a (crucial) winning start
