Disappointing result tonight after a bright start, still a lot of work on the new diamond formation. Too many in midfield in the same areas of the pitch, not too mention some shocking defending. Worrell who is clearly right footed playing on the left side - someone needs to explain that to me.

I have cursed at Riyad Mahrez, and his completely unpredictable behaviour of "get it onto my left foot" all season.
Tonight he lays off a really sweet ball for Sergio Aguero to guide into the net, and Mahrez' final touch was a fine effort from his right foot.
Frustrating isn't in it!

What about giving some credit to Killie, though? What they've achieved this season, so far, on their very limited budget, is nothing short of miraculous!
They've beaten Celtic twice at Rugby Park (and drawn at home) with us, too. Losing to Kilmarnock these days, under a superb manager such as Clarke, is no shock or disgrace. He could quite easily be a successful manager, in his own right, in the EPL.

Killy can be overrun if you have the dynamics. Couldn't really understand Gerrard playing a diamond against them. A proper 433. Only one striker needed.

Doubt you'll finish fourth...No chance. Worst for me, third, but most likely second, behind us. I do get the feeling though that we're upping the gears now and really pushing on for the second half of the season. The new signings have made a big difference, especially Weah - and Burke was fantastic tonight, with his pace and power and two goals...
And we've still got Bayo to come... Hey, even Scotty Sinclair is starting to look like his old self again!Oh, and I haven't even mentioned the £9m Edouard...
Defensively too, we look solid, thanks to the pairing of Boyata and Benkovic, who look (almost) world class. It's up front in particular though, and on the wings, where we're starting to look frightening.
Thing is, if you tally up the transfer value of our players, especially the on-loan ones (the wages of which we're still paying), it makes the other teams in the SPL, including Rangers, look distinctly 'toytown' - so we *should* be winning more games than anyone else, and the gap should also be much bigger than it is.
Didn't stop you beating us at Ibrox, though - and I'm sure that won't be the only game we'll lose between now and the end of the season either... The real test for us though, will come against Valencia. We'll see where we're really 'at', in terms of quality, when we face them, that is as long as we have no injuries to key players, which has been a big problem for us recently!
