I think those sorts of goals are increasingly more likely now with modern footballs (providing that the player kicking them has the necessary skill), simply because of how much technology goes into their design, making them lighter and more aerodynamic than ever, thus able to fly through the air more easily and with greater speed.

But yes, remember the days of laced-up, glorified 'medicine balls', which when wet weighed effectively the same as a boulder, and were rather 'interesting' to head, with the 'ball'/boulder coming down on you from height and at speed, as it scudded off your skull, and the ends of the laces took your eye out...
No wonder some of the great footballers of yesteryear, particularly those prone to heading balls often, suffered from brain damage (or some form of brain-related trauma) in their old age....

Being my birth place, I always keep one eye on how they're doing.
A team with a big history until all the money was gone under Manager O'Leary and chairman Ridsdale, just after the heady heights of reaching the Champions League semi's.
Some fab players have passed through that club over the years.
Now after being rooted in the Championship and seeing a conveyor belt of managers come and go, they are looking very strong again under respected manager Marcelo Biesela who has managed Argentina and Chile.
Currently sitting at top of the Championship ( a tough league to get out of with plenty of ex Premiership teams fighting)
Still a way to go but if they stay on top they could well be back in the top flight.
Been some great matches with Leeds, Man U, Aresenal, Liverpool etc etc over the years.
And what about spygate ? - sending someone to 'spy' Derby County training, before beating them 2-0.
Not exactly regarded as sportsman like over here, but fairly normal in Argentina apparently.
Either way Bielsa has rightly apologised
