    Default Fs: Yamaha ca-1010

Well I bought this only yesterday from a pfm member thinking it would better my Pm4, clearly it didn’t ( to my ears ) regardless of this it is a stunning amp, beautifully made and in near mint condition, it has its original packaging and it’s recently been serviced professionally and upgraded speaker terminals were fitted at the same time .
I have never seen any piece of Hifi from the 70’s in such good condition.
I would post at buyers expense ( and risk ) though this is heavy .
    I paid £650 for it and that’s my asking price ( firm ) .

Wow the pm4 must be something special Andy, because these big Yamahas are superb amps.

Sometimes you need to test your hear against other bits and it's a nice feeling when you are happier with what you already have. Good on ya for trying.

One thing I've found is sometimes it's worth leaving a new thing in your system for a week or so even if you're not sure about it and then switch back once your ears are accustomed to the sound. If you still prefer the old amp by a wide margin then you're definitely right to sell.

Also probably worth mentioning it's Class A, I assume that's what that operation switch does, the bottom legend is partially hidden.

I have left the yammie in the system Lawrence with exactly that in mind, having said that it was immediately clear that something was missing , but hey we’ll see and hopefully I’m wrong .
