    Kept the 7 over the 10 eh? Interesting.

    You holding on to the tp4 carts Mike? I’d happily buy back that adc cart if you’re selling, I rather miss it.

    I do prefer the 7 to the 10 Jake.

    Ah not to worry Mate, probably for the best, someone enjoying it rather than it sat in my drawer!

    Just added a hot Rodded DCB1 instead of the TVC.

    Not at all sure about this; seems a bit forced / too much in your face and the sound stage, both horizontal, vertical and front to back isn't all that.

    At the moment I prefer my TVC; we'll see.

    Is that the 'expertly built' one from the forum a few weeks back?

    I'll answer my own question, it is.

    Matey, don't judge the DCB1's capabilities on that unit.

    Pics are of the inside of mine, which I think adequately demonstrates that there may be a few things I'd change about yours before I even considered judging it.

    Revisiting the pics, it needs some work.

    Change the attenuator to an Acoustic Dimension http://www.acoustic-dimension.com/at...ators-main.htm then tou will definitely change your mind.

    The current pot is holding that back;

    There is no doubt it needs some tidying up, but I can't see a posh box making a heap of difference. It works fine and all of the components (bar the attenuator) are high quality. It doesn't sound bad; I just don't like the presentation. Everything seems a bit too (as in artificially forced) real.

    Alan's point about the attenuator, however, is valid.

    No I'm not suggesting putting it in a posh box would improve it on its own but the TX is right on top of everything, which can't be good.

    The pot is not good quality, the wires look like bare copper to me, I'd change that. The selector switch needs replacing too.

    What I want starting to highlight is that you shouldn't judge it on that unit alone.
