    Why do people look for silicon free wood restore products?

    Default Wood polish , Iíve found the best !

    Silicon can cause issues with wood and refinishing later. Especially if wood has a small split or crack where it can cause fish eye.

    I might add it's not really bad afaic. Just hast to be used right and if refinishing after then take precautions

    BTW, "silicone-free" is regarded as a big plus in the guitar polish market, though nobody ever explains why. Most modern guitars have a high tech polyester or polyurethane finish that is totally bomb-proof and they'll never be refinished anyway, but "silicone free" has become de rigueur.
