I'm Dominic.
What pisses me off the most is when I get told it's a "nasty habit", which it isn't. It is a clinical addiction, every bit as much as heroin and just as hard to give up.
I have had hynotherapy, the patches, chewing gum, sprays, the NHS wonder tablets and even tried vaping which made me wheeze like an old donkey.
If only there was a switch inside my head that says "stop smoking" I would happily press the bastard and easily quit without the pangs.
CD player = Marantz CD6006
DAC/pre = Rotel RC 1572
Power amp = ADA PF201
Speaks = Quadral Chromium Style 6
Try the book called “ stop smoking “ by Allen Carr , others may laugh but it worked for me and other smokers I knew .
Throughout the book it does explain how 1 fag leads to another ( true ) so once you quit DON’T have that one fag !! 3 years of not smoking then I had that one fag ( well more than a fag really ) .

See my earlier post. The Wikipedia entry that supported what I stated about it not being addictive by itself has been COMPLETELY re-written.
It most definitely is in everyone's blood stream. Tomatoes, potatoes, aubergines etc all contain it.
Everyone tests positive for it.
Curious about that Wiki entry changing so radically.

I'm Allen.
You will only stop if YOU want to stop, cutting down etc is a reason to continue
Make your mind up and STOP its willpower thats needed , I did it 34 years ago and have not had one since
Its a habit , change your routine , When you want a smoke , do the wasing up , do the dusting , take the dog for a walk , get the vacuum out , paint the celing anything to take your mind off it , Once the habit is broken and you dont want a fag after your dinner , a pint , a snack , then its easy
All the crap that they sell you to help stop smoking is good for the industry , they make billions out of you and they hope you dont stop so you can keep buying the crap they sell you , Win Win for the big companys
YOU need to decide " Thats it I HAVE stopped smoking " then you WIN WIN , no more paying for fags , NO more paying for wonder cures , And your lungs have a chance to recover
