    Radford STA15 III
Leak ??? (the early one with a germanium transistor)
The EAR is the main workhorse although the Radford could well take its place after some restoration work.
They have all, apart from the Leak, been acquired to try to find the perfect amp to drive Tannoy 15" Monitor Reds in GRF Corner Horn cabinets. All I have discovered so far is that the number of watts is irrelevant, as is the valve type. PP is better than SE and early results from the Radford seem to indicate that transformers are an important factor.
I wish we had “like”, buttons on this forum, so, anyway, “LIKE”!

I go through quite a lot of amps but I tend not to hang on to them once I've got something else I like. Onwards, ever onwards.

Yep, and very nice it is, too.
If I fancy a passive again, I'll def be on the lookout for another, what with its transparent sound and remote control.

Phil hifinutt is now the proud and happy new owner.

I had trouble getting hold of a Schiit and then got fed up trying via UK and Dutch importers to get one - long story as you know ). So, I ended up with a Khozmo Passive Dual into a Cyrus X_Power. A big difference !

Excellent - the Khozmo is supposed to be very good.
    Is yours with remote control?

No Jerry, its a 10K Dual Mono with ZFoil and Elma switch upgrades - it comes with 2 volume controls. I think that means there's no room for the remote control bits. Its only the stereo that has remote.

Thats one reason why I wanted the Schiit for its remote and tube swapping capability but TBH not having that is not a big deal.

No issues with matching equipment i get plenty of volume and its made an excellent improvement.

yes , currently doing good service with FB mono`s . when and if i upgrade i will keep as back up as its rather good . i was listening to an album the other day and nearly jumped out of my skin on one track as it was very good . The FB are extremely transparent and revealing of any poor recordings. My MSB is a bit more forgiving !!!
