    Default Denon HA 500 review

    Hi all
Received my Denon HA500 yesterday from Phonomac
    It's been extensively upgraded
Will post my review and pics later as I've no idea how you do it from my phone

All i will say for now is it's really heavy for a headamp...

    Steve...
    Turntable; Rega p8
    Cartridge; Alpheta mc
Phono Stage; Rega Aria, Bigbottle 3 mm/mc
    Amplifier; Rega Elicit
    Speakers; Rega Rx3

I had that on loan here, Steve. Very very good unit and meticulously serviced. A smart purchase.

    Hi Oliver

It's quite a large heavy unit and looks very well built.
First impressions are what id expected, more detail and a huge soundstage, will be posting a more indepth review with pics as it's just as pretty on the inside too.

Yes it is, on all counts. I liked it very much but went another direction. A Rothwell MCX SUT. Then went another direction .

    Hi oliver

I looked at the Rothwell sut but it was a little more than i could afford at the moment

I'll be having a huge clear out of my second system soon
Then I'll be able to afford something more exotic and just concentrate on the main system !!!

A Jfet output fitted by Alan. It basically a built in headamp which removed all the RCA cables and connections etc. It's the same circuit as used in the Vivant without the MM/MC switching option.
