    Default Jbl le8t-2 help !!!

    Today the new foam surrounds arrived for the above as the old ones had perished.
    (Walpurgis was very kind in guiding me )
    I had meticulously cleaned all the old foam and glue off and handled these like wet tissue paper.
    Once they were well dry I set about installing them back into their cabinets...then nothing!! Sweet fa from them
    So I removed them once again to test them and to my horror it wasn’t the crossover but it’s the drivers , thing is they worked fine before ( see photo )
    Now I have seriously handled these with great care so I’m baffled ( as is Geoff )
    ANY IDEAS anyone ?
    Apart from telling me that they’re F€>#%>%

    Are they open circuit. If not are they connected correctly. If that's ok the are the voice coils free

    No I have only re-installed them in their cabs and tested with my meter and there is absolutely nothing

    I think somehow the voice coils have taken damage though lord only knows how

    I doubt it, unless you were rather brutal with the cones. Try remaking the soldered connections at the terminals where the lead out wires attach if you can reach them.
