    Yum, mince pies.
I think last year they started in the shops earlier than previously, around October.
Perhaps we need a separate countdown for that?

Customer kindly put out some mince pies with afternoon brew last year, and I know it was September, as we were being plagued by wasps. They didn't get a share of the pies, just a slap. I like to put a couple of pies in a dish, heated with some Carnation milk on. Only two mind, I'm not a greedy pig

You swine I enjoy the part of the year when nobody should be thinking about Christmas. Indeed I think people who plan for Christmas early or all year round have a mental disorder.

The only time to think of Christmas is at 9pm on Christmas Eve when at the local petrol station shop trying to find small presents

What's Mrs. Minstrel getting this year, a 'Feu Orange' or a bag of charcoal?

The people who plan early for Christmas are the same ones who buy union jack flags as soon as a Royal wedding is announced, for fear of finding them sold out.

Cash in an envelope with some corny line about it being for the best because you can get what you really want Oh the thought and the effort I put in is amazing

Ive seriously been in these service stations wondering if I can get away with little deicing kits or petrol cans as presents. Oil, chamois leather Pringles and Ferrero rocher...thats christmas sorted for another year
