    Ive got loads of dvds. must say when i buy now its usually bluray, especially in my wildlife stuff but i have netflix to fall back on and most of my purchases are digital copies on amazon and apple, which come across pretty well with my new apple box

    It's a BDP-S300. Nothing special, I bought it used for £50, but it's good enough for now: I need to upgrade the TV first.

    Yes, I have always liked Sony gear. I have a Sony DVD player (but don't use it now as it is hard wired to only play Region 2 disks) and I have had a couple of Sony CD players (and still have one, kept as as spare/back up to my Studer/Revox).

    Yup, don't think it's as good as it used to be though, but the best Sony AV stuff for me has a natural colour palette and picture clarity all of its own, especially with their TVs, which I really enjoy. And the amps are very good too, even the AV ones, which not only sound superb with movies, but also with music.
