I will soon have the new Miyajima Saboten L cartridge on dem, recently reviewed very favourably by Herb Reichert in Stereophile magazine (April 2018 issue). This little beauty is rather like the Shilabe in terms of electrical specifications and (low) compliance, but it has instead a cantilever part fashioned from a special cactus spine, with a nude line contact stylus - that's a bit of a change for Miyajima who generally favour Shibata tips. The Saboten's body is machined from Cameroonian Ebony. So, overall it promises a rather different character compared to the Shilabe, which is my current favourite Miayjima stereo cartridge. This is one cartridge that I'm very much looking forward to hearing! UK Price is yet to be notified.
