I want to loose some weight so I'm meeting a rep from LighterLife on Friday

Being on the LighterLife Total means only taking in about 600 calories a day so I should lose 1 stone per month... that sounds good to me

You don't need a rep. Just watch what u eat. Main culprits to avoid are alcohol and anything with sugar. Also take less salt. Ive been losing weight just by being strict. It's not that hard once you get used to it.
PS. It's not good to lose it too quickly or it will end up coming back plus you risk your health

    Now where's that chocolate beer.

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

"You don't have free will. You have the appearance of free will.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”

I agree Grant but I need a bit of a quick start... so LighterLife it is.... it's pretty expensive so hopefully I will wean myself off it and just eat sensibly again and as you say no alcohol as that's very rich in calories.. damn it

A stone a month sounds like a vey unhealthy amount of weight to loose, even if you both dieted and exercised alot.

I can’t comment on the diet program you mention but generally quick loss diets are unsustainable and the weight very easily is put back on once you stop, so you have to stick with a programme that has been designed to keep you as a customer. The issue is that some of these diets put your body into what is effectively starvation mode where in order to survive your body starts to consume itself and this is how the weight is lost. This is the bodies survival contingency plan and not really something you should go through to loose weight.

I don’t mean to put you off, just be careful with who you go with.

I can lose a stone in a month without effort and it causes me no problems. I was 10.5 stone at xmas and was up to 11.5 stone the other week. Back down to 11 stone now in a couple of weeks just by moderating my eating a bit.

And I'm not big or young!

    From the NHS website

If you're trying to lose weight, the safe weekly rate of weight loss is between 0.5kg and 1kg. That's between around 1lb and 2lb a week.

Lose weight faster than this and you're at risk of health problems that include malnutrition and gallstones, as well as feeling tired and unwell.

Really good info on the NHS website.

Yes. I've seen the opinions. They remind me of those for eating breakfast, which I never do.
