Default FS The Truth Linestage Pre

So, what is the Truth? And why am I selling it?

The Truth is unquestionably the most transparent linestage available today in comparison to all other types that have passed through my hands It will literally blow your mind from the first note when you realise just how much information you've actually been unaware of in your music. It's inner workings are shrouded in mystery, its effect is magical, and it's maker is passionate about it's abilities and is always at the end of an email to help.

Why am I selling it? Because I have a niggle that it isn't compatible with my ARC ref 75 with it's super sensitive jfet coupled inputs, though this is total conjecture. The Truth was fine, and indeed the 75 was fine until I connected a second hand CDP directly into the ref 75 and either by coincidence or something else the 75 lost a channel, the Truth wasn't in the chain at that time.

It has worked flawlessly, breathtakingly well with my Cary's 805c's as well as my Hiraga class A solid state.

It's quirky, must always have a source connected, sounds better left on permanently, and has a volume control that only really works between 5 to and 10 past the hour.

It has a handsome handcrafted walnut sleeve made by Steve (Magna audio), turned aluminium feet, and 1920's Bakelite knobs for volume, balance and source (3 inputs).
It also has two outputs so can drive a sub. It is unique.

Anyone reading my recent thread about the ref 75 will realise I've become quite paranoid about my entire system - and am changing components for a fresh start..

Original cost was €1100 (not counting customs) plus around €250 for the sleeve. It also comes with a fancy mains cable.

A Class A product, and in fact Arthur Salvatore's reference, it's power to resolve is beguiling and addictive. There are no veils, no noise - nothing but musical surprises.

Asking €690. PayPal gift. Postage depending on country but it's quite light so shouldn't be too much.

    Gulp - am I really don't this?IMG_20170530_160514.jpg

I’d put it in a cupboard Adey. You’ll want this back in your system again one day and you’ll kick yourself for selling it.

    Ask me how I know!
