Thanks Geoff, that’s very helpful, the speakers are on offer at £250. I am a bit tight for space for which ever speakers i settle on.

That sounds like a good price if the condition is good.

Mine are on 24" open frame stands and about 3 feet away from the rear wall. That helps in terms of soundstage quality.

Is it possible for you to hear them with your amp before buying?

They are being sold locally on Gumtree, so unlikely to be able to hear with my amp

    Robin,

If space is an issue, you might consider these.

What is amazing about the Omega range is how such a small driver produces a huge, fast and full sound.

    Geoff

BTW: these look fantastic in the EKO Ebony finish.

I've been buying gear from Richer Sounds for many years and have always found them excellent, that's where my Concept 20s came from.

I agree that Richersounds are excellent. Their extended warranties are good value too. For things like TVs and audiovisual, my first port of call is either RS or John Lewis.

My only reservation is that their product range is somewhat limited.

BTW: I remember the first RS shop at London Bridge from 40 years ago. A real box-shifting warehouse but with some very good deals. I bought a wonderful Toshiba Aurex micro Tuner there for peanuts!

It’s been awhile since I’ve been the Glasgow store, bought my av receiver there, but from memory it’s tiny not ideal for listening to speakers but those speakers are a lot cheaper than some of the others I’m considering

I now have some new speakers to try out following a conversation with Derek at ART Loudspeakers.
