Bought a couple of bits in the week little Friday evening session bit of fun

    Mitshubishi DA R440 Receiver
    Teac V395CHX Cassette Deck

Paired with a Legendary pair of Celestion A1 Compact

Pairing of Budget sounds with a sound that will blow you away i like the mid lower end stuff its impressive just a through together and its so enjoyable

Spinning - Chris Rea - Road to Hell

This Mitsubishi receiver is actually really quite nice dates from early 80's well built and great engineering and the receiver works a bonus 20 WPC sweet little unit

    Fantastic

    Happy listening

I remember seeing them at a show when they were released by Celestion and thought they were impressive when I heard them.
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

Allowing for inflation they would cost about £1200 today. Maybe not quite 'high end' price-wise (you can pay ten grand for a miniature speaker these days) but certainly no-where near a budget speaker.
    Current Lash Up:

    TEAC VRDS 701T > Sony TAE1000ESD > Krell KSA50S > JM Labs Focal Electra 926.

Yeah I said normal high end at the time. Maybe because I didn't live in a big city then I was a student who browsed in Richer Sounds and Sevenoaks, but that was high end in my day

Yes it was for me too. I was only able to get the A2 when Celestion got bought out and Hyper-Fi were selling the A2 and the A3 new at a third of list price.

Not sure where I found the money for that now I think about it. I was going to get the A3 then decided it would have too much bass and that the A2 would be just as good. Wrong - as I found out later but then I didn't really know anything back then.
