    I thought so it i would buy a properly checked over pair which they were caps checked and drivers described as perfect but unfortunately had i not heard the rattle and checked me being me i knew something wasn't right when i check damn lucky to find a spare they seller used to work for Celestion looking like the seller is willing to pay for the cost of the new spare driver and i send my faulty driver into Ditton works see if he can repair that one

    The spare driver for the SL6 is due in today

    So what would be the best option to connect it to the crossover choc block or Solder

    I used to have one nice beefy amp with decent sound, fair price £150 these days and great value at that. Sounds even better with a passive pre into the power amp direct sockets.

    Update on the duff SL6 it appears that from factory it wasn't properly finished - The surround that was supposed to be cut was glued to the chassis therefor tighter causing a bit of coil rub he's hopeful he can fix a bizzar one

    Anyway the SL6's are up a running and sounding Fantastic on the Marantz PM4 , Pioneer 505 Precision , HIFI ME DAC - they do Pop , Jazz and Acoustic superbly well Very impressed with them on the end of a Luxman SQ 507X too Synergy was in the room

    Seems there’s a spate of this going on!

    The B&O Beovox RL140s I acquired recently had a rubbing midrange driver and it appears that the cone was mounted slightly off-centre from new. I re-centred it and it’s fine now.
    Engineers: fixing problems you didn't know you had in ways you don't understand.
