    I'm sorted.

    Default The System

Had a few Diamonds over the years, seem to recall one pair cost £7. Great little speakers for the money. Don’t keep loads of back up gear anymore, haven’t actually got any back up speakers £59 you say? Hmm

Happy Listening bought the little Wharfedale Diamond 9.0's a great speaker also within limitations bargain £59 from Richer Sounds

I must say i impressed myself with the re foam
Diamond 9.0 as you say great little speakers, which should fill most rooms nicely if paired with a little sub - I bought a couple of pairs for my daughter's hairdresser shop a couple of years ago. They barely got any use, and now she's moved premises, so guess who now has these boxes cluttering the house?

I might try one pair, together with my sub, in my second system, in place of my old Celestion 5s. The others I'll stick on here for sale when I have time. You might have been a bit too early for a bargain Dan - sorry about that. But still a bargain at £59.
I just dropped in, to see what condition my condition was in

T/T: Inspire Monarch, X200 tonearm, Ortofon Quintet Blue. Phono: Project Tube Box CD: Marantz CD6006 (UK Edition); Amp: Musical Fidelity A5 Integrated.
Speakers: Zu Omen Def, REL T9i subwoofer. Cables: Atlas Equator interconnects, Atlas Hyper 3.0 speaker cables

    T'other system:

    A/V:
LG 55" OLED, Panasonic Blu Ray, Sony a/v amp, MA Radius speakers, REL Storm sub

Forget the past, it's gone. And don't worry about the future, it doesn't exist. There is only NOW.

friend of mine used Diamond IV in a 14 x 36 room with no problems. Maybe could have done with subs too but that was back in the flat earth days when subwoofers were something only demented Americans used and were not considered 'hi-fi'

But for rock and pop music bass depth was adequate and they could reach acceptable levels without breaking up even in that huge space.

    Nostalgia Post

My grandad had a Marantz MX 593 stack in the early 90's i have footage of this and a photo in a family album so when the PM 583 Amp came up local i bought it for £10 great bit of kit the stack new in 1989 was £599.99 can't make out the rears he had but the fronts were 1992/3 Wharfedale Delta 30.2's

Great fun and a nice bit of kit now that i need it but had to have it Great EQ with Memo it saves then and @ 40 WPC with AV capabilities same they are worth next to nothing Has anyone else bought kit that family members have owned?

Got to love those old QUAD components, especially the '303'.

    Nice.

What make is that record brush?

Don't chuck the Shure M91ED out, they're rather good!
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!
