I had, as Oli knows, a similar experience with another cable that Oli let do the rounds. And like you Alan I use Yello Toy Story for the reasons you mention as one reference point.

Yes Oli certainly knows where to source the Pixie dust that makes it all work. But Oli what differences are there between the cable of yours I have to the one that Alan has?

    Edward,

The diffence is down to materials, dielectric and purity.

The Spotfire are OCC copper. The cables you have are Silver plated copper.

    There are other differences too.

I'll make a pair of 1m cables to do the rounds but this won't be for a week or so.

If anyone wants to try them, they are welcome.

That would be great, I'm close to the final piece in the jigsaw here and new interconnects would certainly help.

I don't even need 1m IF I get permission to buy this pre amp

Oli do you know what the capacitance is of the SPOTFIRE cables? I would like something around 300pF. but I would presume these are lower?

Ok, I'll let you know when they are available.

As Alan bought the prototype ones, I need to get more cable

Ok, I only have 1m ones at present but for a test, they will do the Job. We can discuss details, lengths if you like them.

They are the final piece of my jigsaw here. Glad you're close to it too!
