Default If you take out your mains plug fuses, what goes in their place...?

Scuse my ignorance, but I'd like - I think - to get rid of my mains plug fuses (UK 3-pin) with the exception of the one in the power cord feeding my mains conditioner from the wall. So... at least one is in the mix at that end. But if I take them out, and put something in to bridge the terminal gaps, I'm presumably ending up with a clunkier result than leaving a half-decent fuse in there in the first place. What's the trick here? Or do I best leave well alone? Or put in some AMR Golds and be done with it? Many thanks for thoughts.

Hi The fuses are there for a reason !!
To protect you and the equipment from electrocution or fire if a fault develops.
I believe that most people on here would tell you that gold fuses wont change the sound.
But if that's the way you want to proceed its the safest.

In the UK you can't muck about with the power. Keep the fuses where they are supposed to be. And if buying 'audiophile' fuses make sure they are legal for the UK as some are not.

I'm locking the thread pending whatever.
