SJS Oyide Headphone Amplifier
A couple of years ago I was approached by a long time Model 1 preamp owner who had switched over to using Audeze headphones. He had been admiring a lot of hi end valve headphone amplifiers available in the USA but which didn't have UK distribution, and instead set the challenge to develop an amplifier which would do justice to his current and potential choice of headphones.
The result was the Oyide headphone amp.
It is effectively a mW level integrated SET amplifier using triode strapped E55L valves, with custom designed and made HiB Double C core output transformers. These have dual secondaries which enable switching for low impedance (30 to 100 ohms) or high impedance (120 to 600 ohms) headphones, and either balanced or unbalanced connection. The PSU is valve rectified with choke input filter and second stage LC filters per channel.
There are 3 line level inputs, input selector and volume control.
There are several colour choices available for the aluminium top panel, text and transformer covers.
If a more discrete appearance is desired, it could all be enclosed within an aluminium chassis similar to the Model 7 line pre-amplifier.

Each amplifier comes with 2 years parts a labour warranty, except for the valves which have a 6 month warranty.
