Not only were the relevant authorities warned, but folks travelling too, if they were watching the weather forecasts. When such heavy snow is predicted, the safest thing to do is stay at home - far better that than becoming part of a stationary 'car park', posing as a motorway!
If they did that, then in such bad conditions there would be far less traffic chaos on the roads....

the snow.. its very slowly getting heavier, and im gonna be bloody stuck in house again. hate being stuck in house. like going to prison, even if you dont go out you can if you want... psychological but still real. i hate being lame

wind is a bit stronger now, causing -7c of windchill. still snowing but so far its been fairly dry powdery stuff and not lying terribly much, but will get a grip soon. in fact starting to now as flakes get bigger
