But that doesn't stop me fiddling with it,oh no! i finished off another arm board last night to try, this is in panzerholz and i veneered it as being compressed in resin i dont think it wood take a stain very well.
it sounds good, maybe a tad more precise than the aluminum/mdf combo. strangely the manual for the arm recommends just a universal arm board (mdf) when mounting the pa-5000,no aluminum top plate.

i promise no more pictures for at least a week!
I have just bought a pa 5000 for my 590 to replace the infinity black widow (FS btw). Did you get a template or did you have suitable armboard to copy from? My infinity is mounted via the SME aluminium board.

I've just picked up a pa 5000 for my old 590. As your armboard already cut for the arm. I have an SME and blank MDF board. Can't wait to get this mounted.

What is the advantage of having a vertical disc-reading mechanism?

Could you share Angus's contact details with me as I would him to give my PA5000 the same treatment. I really need the sub weight too as I'm tracking too high and have a few carts I wish to use.
