I fancy getting one of those Crossley decks for the cat - if I put some Dreamies on the platter and run it at 33rpm, I reckon she'll love it.

Been doing okay on vinyl the last month, not picked up any gear, but did see a lovely stack of Leak separates and speakers on Sunday including a nice Troughline tuner, the amps were transistor so none of it was of interest to me and I passed on it all, I did ask about a record deck, there had been a Micro Seiki, but it had been given to a friend, I'd have gone for that if it had been there.

Shame, the Leak Stereo 70 was a very good amplifier. And the solid state Leak Stereofetic was much better tuner than the 'fashionable' Troughline.

I did think about buying them, especially as it's not every day you come across nice clean Leak gear let alone a pile of it, but as money and more importantly space are finite and I didn't have anyone lined up I passed, I wouldn't mind another TL12 as I already have one, as for the tuner sad to say I haven't even turned my trusty Denon on in a couple of years, at least I get an extra hour's sleep before tomorrow's adventure, not looking forward to the cold though.

Lovely sunny car booty morning here but the lack of anything on the last two visits, plus the fact I only got back from a concert in London last night at 2am, means I decided to stay in bed!

Almost wish I'd stayed in bed, the wind made it bitterly cold even though I was very well wrapped up, I picked up three Jazz CDs and a local 12" single, otherwise I saw a nice clean Sony PS 3300 for £50 which didn't hang around long, a couple of Technics tuners and very little vinyl none of which was of any interest, I guess there's always next week if the weather holds.
