    Default 2017 - 2018.

Haven't been here for quite a while guys lost interest in hi fi this year still listen to the music though. Back in may was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Still here and reasonably well. However it is incurable and I'm afraid the coming year I'll be off somewhere maybe nowhere. Nearly at the end of the chemo. And so far it's kept the tumour the same size. I sold a shed load of my music collection and went down the streaming route. Bought a naim muso. Still picking up vinyl now n again mostly reissues. Sorry for such negativity. Such as life.
    Happy new year people

    Hi John,

Good hearing from you, mate. Been a long time!

Sorry to hear of your poor health. You deserve credit for dealing with things so well, and what must be a very difficult situation. I hope that the Chemo continues keeping the nasty 'big C' at bay, and that you can enjoy life for as long as possible, and wish you a Happy New Year and the very best for the future.

I'll raise a glass to you this evening, my friend, and that keep on rocking!

    Marco.

Sorry to hear your sad news John, but don't despair. A colleague of mine was diagnosed with the same, was operated on with chemotherapy back-up and made a full recovery. That was over ten years ago.

It might be a bit of a cliché, but my colleague had a good and positive 'attitude' to his illness which I believe helped with his recovery.

Anyway thank you for your good wishes for 2018 and I wish you the same and more.
