Lol - I posted that at tea time last night!
Glad to see you're getting a bit of sleep now, rather than being kept awake in the early hours of the morning. And yes, I'd thoroughly recommend those Columbian beans to you, Justers or anyone else who's into top-notch coffee.
I'm now convinced that South American beans (light brown in colour) are much more to my taste than African beans, which are darker and more bitter. It's almost like a milk vs. dark chocolate thing, with South American beans akin to Swiss milk chocolate, and African, a Bournville bar...
These Columbians just produce a smooth, rich and very tasty coffee, with none of the 'astringent' quality that generally exists with the African variety, although I may grind in a small amount of those with the Columbian, just to see what kind of mix that produces.
However, for the moment, the Columbian beans, from Poblado Coffi, are my favs. Local Welsh company too, which ticks an important box for me, and the roasting date printed on the back was only two days before the date I received them, so the beans were super-fresh (and smelled it too, when the bag was opened), which I know is important to you!
Right, it's time to make some coffee now, and prepare breakfast!
Marco.
