The taste is good as is crema. im exploring this blended with the ones I got recently that are really dark. 70/30 to Italy at moment. seems to be the sweet spot. can send you some if you want.
We've just opened a bag of Italian Blend on your recommendation, very nice. Also had a bag of Fudge blend which was also very nice. We have a lot of lavazza crema e aroma which we think is very good value although I prefer Illy beans but they are a bit pricey. We prefer the Rave beans to the Lavazza but in part that may be simply because it is nice to have a change. Will try some Extract beans next as is local.

Bought a KG of Jim's reco. A good Italian engineer friend of mine liked Illy a lot. Done those a few times. Never enamoured.

Done a few Lavazzas but not this one. Gonna treat it as a good value backstop. Unless proven otherwise.

Dr Strangelove by Extract of Bristol is my current high end recommendation at the mo. With a warning. Each cup of it you make will taste different. Evidently it is called Dr Strangelove for a reason.

It may need a month to start to stabalise. Well, that's my theory so far. More experience required.

That said, I wouldn't want to change it in any way.

That BB date is amazing. Presumably unopened before then. Do you believe it?

    True.

I stopped using it last night. I get a 'chemical' taste from it I don't like. It's quite subtle but I can't get past the fact it tastes like something is wrong.
