I think it's like the milk and coffee haven't yet decided to get it together just yet. You can clearly see the separation.

For the two or three swigs that something like that is worth, the investment in the tools to create it is almost with it. Almost, but not quite.

My next coffee extractor must have variable temperature, pressure and flow rate control

    I clearly don't want much.

Not much lol . My wee machine suffices. Not especially flexible but produces decent stuff regularly. That's half the battle.

The thing I think is missing from coffee machines is a simple pot that adjusts pressure to control flow rate.

So you fucked up the tamping for instance. Or got too fine a grind. Compensate by twiddling the pressure pot. Which usually just isn't there.

Unless it is. I haven't looked around enough for contemporary machines that can do it.

Think a few do. ECM do them. It's a screw that you adj to various nos that represent pressure. Usually set at 9 but can be moved. Maybe the classika

What I mean is simple easy to access on the fly instantly reacting to user input pressure control. Not some hard to access screw.

As the Bishop said to the actress.
